But it’s totally worth it. Make sure toGet George to arrange the donkey transportation for your luggage and youre safe. There is a super cozy little patio in front with two chairs and a table where you can enjoy yourselves with a spectacular view. And you are on the way up to the monestary and Peak Eros. If you like hiking, an absolute must. George is a great host and will help you with any local needs. Super super charming bedroom and apartment. Perfect for couples. If you like cats there are a couple in the garden (they are all over hydra so you’ll get used to them regardless), if you don’t, they are very calm and don’t bother you.Verified George was incredibly kind to meet us at the port and provide a great brunch recommendation for the day we arrived. He coordinated to have our luggage taken up the hill for 20€ which was money well spent. The climb is steep but enjoyable and the view is absolutely worth it. George went above and beyond during our stay and was always quick to respond. We requested beach towels and he was right on it. The apartment is very comfortable (especially the bed) and it was wonderful to have water ready in the fridge. I would highly recommend staying at George’s place in Hydra for some of the best views on the island!Verified Our favorite stay in Greece! The view was spectacular. We enjoyed the sights and sounds from uptop, relaxed by the sunset, enjoyed reading with warm tea, and unwound from the hussle of Athens. George and his mother made us feel at home. The view from the terrace is incredible and the flat itself has absolutely everything you need and you can tell that lots of love and care has been put into the decorations. George and his girlfriend are really lovely and helped us out with lots of recommendations. We even had some homemade biscuits waiting for us when we first arrived! I didn't meet George, but he was in regular contact and had his girlfriend meet me at check-in. They both had good recommendations -- when he suggests hiring a mule to get your bags up and down the hill, DO IT! -- and have designed a very nice, quiet space to enjoy.
